Membership Enrollment Page!

 

You must first register and be approved for membership before accessing many site sections including the Legal Defense enrollment.

Once your membership has been approved you can then login and enroll in the Legal Defense. 


 

The CPPA is now required to confirm your MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY STATUS. To be eligible for “Active” or "Reserve" membership, you must be a CURRENTLY EMPLOYED P.O.S.T. CERTIFIED COLORADO PEACE OFFICER as defined by the Colorado Revised Statutes. To confirm your eligibility for “Active” or "Reserve" CPPA membership status, all current, new, or renewing “Active” or "Reserve" members must provide a copy of their current employing agency ID card to the CPPA upon enrollment and/or renewal. Please Note: If you do not meet the requirements of an “Active” or "Reserve" member please call the office to confirm your eligibility, you may fall under an “Associate” membership.

 

Please Note: Membership does not include Legal Defense.  Legal Defense is a separate enrollment process as well as a separate cost.  You must be a member to enroll in the Legal Defense Coverage. Active Member - $60.00 Annual Membership

A person employed full or part time (paid) as a certified Peace Officer by the Colorado P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards & Training) and at a minimum has the authority to enforce all laws of the State of Colorado while acting within the scope of his or her authority and in the performance of his or her duties. (Eligible for Plan 1 or 2 of the Legal Defense)  Questions please contact CPPA.

Reserve Member - $60.00 Annual Membership

Meets the standards defined by Colorado Revised Statues 16-2.5-110 as a RESERVE Peace Officer - A person authorized by a city, city & county, town, county, or state institution of higher education within this this state to act as a reserve police officer, reserve deputy sheriff, reserve town marshal for certain specific and limited periods of time while the person is authorized to be on duty and acting at the express direction or under the direct supervision of a fully POST certified peace officer. A reserve officer is a peace officer while engaged in the performance of his or her duties whose authority shall be limited to the authority granted by his or her authorizing agency. A reserve shall serve without compensation except during a declared emergency or a time of special need. (Eligible for Plan 4 of the Legal Defense).  Questions please contact CPPA.

Associate Member - $60.00 Annual Membership Cost

Public safety employees who do not meet the requirements of active or retired membership. (other restrictions apply please call CPPA with any questions)
